The Community Center has roughly 300 members and associate members. They pay annual dues, the primary source of financial support for DFCC activities, and to help maintain the Community Center building. Membership is based on a calendar year, and dues are payable in January of each year.

Membership is open to any resident or landowner in the communities of Dutch Flat, Alta, Gold Run, or in the surrounding area from Alpine Meadows to Emigrant Gap. Associate memberships are available for non-residents who want to support DFCC activities. Associate members don't vote in Center elections, yet receive all other Center benefits, including the quarterly newspaper. The most important member benefit is the satisfaction of supporting an important community institution.
