The Dutch Flat Grammar School, or the Community Center, as it's known today, is located at 933 Stockton Street, in Dutch Flat. California. The building was built in 1898. Click here for a brief history of the building.

1998 is the building's centennial year. The Community Center is in the process of renovating and restoring the building, raising money as the work progresses. Fortunately, our structural engineer assures us the building is in relatively good shape and needs little structural work.

One of our main goals in renovating the building was to make the upstairs auditorium available again for public events. We held our first event in the auditorium in February, 1998. Visit the Events page for further information on upcoming Community Center events.

The building interior has been re-painted, and there's a new curtain for the upstairs stage. One step at a time, the building is changing to meet the vision of many residents and visitors who have donated time, energy, and resources to restore this important community asset.

The building is available for rent to Center members, community residents, and others. Further information on building rental is available.
